These updated modules fix problems reported in the V1.5 release. You are advised to download and install them only if you have the problem described or if requested to do so by GAIA Support. Otherwise you should wait for the next full release of the product.

You can check the version or GAIA Print Charger Administration by selecting Help/About in the application. The service processes log their version in the Monitor Log file when the service starts (select Log from the Administration menu).

If you are not running the latest versions, you can download the updates individually to the product's folder, or you can download and install the complete product again.

GAIA Print Charger Administration V1.5.001

This update fixes the following problems:

1. Sometimes,  when UNC printer names were being used, the Page Cost table for a printer would show only some entries or would show duplicate entries.
2. The totals on the printers report were not correct.
3. Some minor cosmetic screen changes have been made.

To install the update, close all copies of GAIA Print Charger Administration and copy this program to the folder where you installed the product.

GAIA Print Monitor V1.5.007

This update fixes the following problems:

1. Occasionally the service would not start and log an error like "Cannot create (name) - error Access Denied" in the monitor log.
2. Notification via the client and activation of the client for user selected charging did not work for users with usernames longer than 8 characters.
3. The last page warning notification was being sent when a user printed with a zero balance even if the user was not being charged.
4. The notification error page was sometimes failing with an 'Entry not found' error.
5. UNC printer names were not being handled correctly for single printer monitoring.
6. The last page of a duplex job with an odd number of pages was being charged at the duplex rate instead of the simplex rate.
7. Fixed problems with some Win9x drivers for HP Colour Laserjet 4500: Page counting and colour detection in PCL5 and colour detection in PCL6.
8. In some obscure circumstances, the error message "Cannot create monitor log" would be continuously logged in the Application event log.
9. Improved some monitor log error messages.
10. Fixed page counting for Epson Stylus Color 860 and Epson Stylus Color 3000.
11. Sometimes under heavy load, some jobs would remain paused in the queue after they were charged requiring them to be manually released.

To install the update, stop the "GAIA Print Monitor" service and copy this new monitor to the folder where you installed the product. Then start the service again. This monitor requires a maintenance date of at least 01-Oct-2000. You can check the monitor version in the monitor log.

GAIA Print Job Monitor V1.5.003

This update fixes the following problem:

1. Depending on your CPU speed, one of the service processes was consuming significant CPU resources as the number of printers being monitored approached 30. As more printers were added, the process would eventually consume most of the available CPU time.
2. In some obscure circumstances, the error message "Cannot create monitor log" would be continuously logged in the Application event log.
3. Sometimes under heavy load, some jobs would remain paused in the queue after they were charged requiring them to be manually released.

To install the update, stop the "GAIA Print Monitor" service and copy these 2 programs to the folder where you installed the product. Then start the service again.
