GAIA Print Charger
V1.6 Updates

These updated modules fix problems reported in the V1.6 release. You are advised to download and install them only if you have the problem described or if requested to do so by GAIA Support. Otherwise you should wait for the next full release of the product.

If you downloaded the product since 4-Nov-2002 you already have all these updates.

GAIA Print Charger Administration V1.6.007 (Released 04-Nov-2002) [1539K]

This update fixes the following problems:

  1. Purging of user transactions could fail to complete if a user in the purge group owned the last transaction.
  2. In some unusual circumstances, trying to start a second instance of the program could create a background process without a window that the user could not control.
  3. The program could hang on starting if another process on the computer did not respond to Windows messages. (Unlikely situation but now fixed)
  4. If the "Department Credit Exceeded" message was changed, the default message was displayed the next time the program was run.
  5. Department adjustment transactions could display spurious values in the Charge field.
  6. Purging departments only cleared the first 10 or failed to delete departments.
  7. Added workstation field to client test window to send messages directly to computer.

GAIA Print Monitor V1.6.011 (Released 11-Sep-2002) [818K]

This update fixes the following problems:

  1. Duplex was not being detected in PCL6 for HP2200 class printers.
  2. Copies were not being counted correctly for level 1 Postscript jobs from Macs.
  3. When charging to a department using the client, the user balance was being affected as well as the department balance.
  4. The last job warning message was being sent to a user with a zero balance when charging to a department.
  5. The QMS Magicolor 2 laser under Windows 2000 required a larger buffer.
  6. Modifications to handle faulty HP drivers that set invalid page counts. eg HP1200 and HP2200 show 6 pages for a Windows test page.
  7. Postscript modifications to support Tektronix Phaser 850 PS driver from Xerox.
  8. Notification and Print Client activation messages were being blocked by layer 3 switches and VLANs.
  9. Added user limit message.
  10. Page count was incorrect for Xerox XPL2 driver for Windows 2000 that includes many PJL commands.
  11. Added support for the PSCRIPT1 datatype for Mac jobs sent to non-postscript printers.

GAIA Print Job Monitor V1.6.002 (Released 10-May-2002) [675K]

This update fixes the following problems:

  1. Fixed duplicate reporting of printer errors in monitor log.
  2. Security enhanced when using print client.

GAIA Print Charger Group Move (Released 21-Jun-2002) [838K]

This utility program allows you to move all  users in one group to another group.
