This major update contains the following new features and fixes:

1. Printing

   1. Printers on a Windows Cluster can now be monitored. This does not happen in real time like on a normal server but after the job completes printing. Using this method, printers can also be remotely monitored from another computer.

   2. Colour and monochrome pages within a job are now treated separately and charged independently. Previously, the whole job was charged at the colour rate when one page contained colour.

2. Internet

   1. Improved the efficiency of net charging database updates to reduce the chance of getting "Unable to log transaction" error when manually adding receipts or adjusting balances.

   2. Fixed an issue where MSDE web and firewall logs might not be read if the system was also configured for Proxy 2 or if the web log was empty.

3. Administration

   1. Testing a Connected Client now allows additional options in the type of test to perform.

   2. A Print button has been added to most graphs to allow them to be printed.

   3. Enhanced the security of the recharge Vouchers file.

   4. New facility to print customized Recharge Vouchers by exporting to Excel then mail merging.

   5. The Client service is now automatically installed whenever the Print or Net service is installed.

Version 2.8.1 Update released 28-Apr-2006

1. Fixed errors reported in monitor log when monitoring more than 32 printers.

2. Added paper size to cancelled print job messages.

3. Improved color & grayscale detection in some PCL6 drivers.

Version 2.8.2 Update released 16-May-2006

1. Fixed detection of multiple copies for Xerox DC 286 PCL6 driver.

2. Fixed user balance transfers where a "Logout not active" error was returned for all users after one user had insufficient funds for the transfer.
