This update contains the following new features and fixes:

Update Releases

If you are upgrading from V3.x, please read the V4.0 release notes before proceeding.

1. Administration

   1. New copying options have been added B&W and colour page counts.

   2. Some reports now have an extended option to show more columns and detail

   3. Added a new extended logging option for use by support personnel.

   4. Various cosmetic changes.
       

2. Printing

   1. Improved support for PCL5 and PCL6 universal drivers.

   2. Printed jobs are now retained in the Current Jobs list for 10 minutes after they print for information.

   3. Fixed displaying the black page count in the Current Jobs list.

   4. Increased internal buffers for processing large print jobs.

   5. Fixed releasing and transferring multiple jobs when the user runs out of funds.

   6. Fixed black & color page counts for multiple copies. Previously only total and cost was correct.

   7. Fixed scheduled adjustment tasks that might fail to run depending on the server load at the time.

   8. Fixed page counting for Canon PCL6 jobs containing Canon specific binary data.

   9. Fixed detection of PCL6 black images when defined using particular palettes and color depths.

   10. Improved page counting under some Windows 7 drivers.

3. Copying

   1. Added communications method for copiers

   2. Copyguard device remains supported

   3. Added options for future support of Direct connection and Copicode IP device

4. Windows Client

   1. Minor cosmetic changes.

5. Installation

   1. This release updates any version 3 or later product. If you are running V2.x you must upgrade to V3.x first before installing V4.x

   2. Stop all Gaia services and programs before upgrading. If you use the web client or web administration, restart IIS before upgrading to unlock all web modules. See the upgrade instructions.

   3. The V3 or previous V4 database will be automatically updated when you first run Administration

   4. If you see any error messages about "PrintJob.tps":

      1. Stop all Gaia services and Administration

      2. Delete PrintJob.tps in the data folder

      3. Restart Administration and services
