Administration

The User ID and PIN
fields have been changed from numeric only to alpha numeric up to 20
characters to accommodate customers with existing card systems.

copying options have been added for B&W
and colour page counts.

Some reports now have an extended option to show more columns and detail

Improved support for PCL5 and PCL6
universal drivers.

Printed jobs are now retained in the
Current Jobs list for 10 minutes after they print for information.

Fixed displaying the black page count
in the Current Jobs list.

Increased internal buffers for
processing large print jobs.

Fixed releasing and
transferring multiple jobs when the user runs out of funds.

Fixed black & color page
counts for multiple copies. Previously only total and cost was
correct.

Fixed scheduled adjustment
tasks that might fail to run depending on the server load at the
time.

Fixed page counting for
Canon PCL6 jobs containing Canon specific binary data.

Fixed detection of PCL6
black images when defined using particular palettes and color
depths.

Added support for the
Copicode IP hardware device as well as the Copyguard device

Added options to support
the different communications methods for the different devices.

The Copicode IP connects
via a web service that can be installed as a separate component if the
module is required.

Installation
-
This
release updates any version 3 or later product. If you are running
V2.x you must upgrade to V3.x first before installing
V4.x

Stop all
Gaia services and programs before upgrading. If you use the web
client or web administration, you must restart IIS before upgrading to unlock
all web modules. See the upgrade
instructions.

The V3 or previous V4 database will be automatically
updated when you first run Administration

If you see any error messages
about "PrintJob.tps":

Stop all Gaia
services and Administration

Delete PrintJob.tps in the data folder

Restart Administration
and services

- Improved page counting for PCL5, PCL6 and Postscript.
- Improved handling of HPGL2 jobs.
- Fixed Postscript color detection for some Mac OSX jobs.
- Fixed /prompt switch on windows client that would sometimes not
request authentication.
Version 4.7 Build 41 Released 7-May-2010
- Fixed web client sometimes giving 'Server.CreateObject
Failed" error.
- Added new cost centre reports.
- Improved print service efficiency and speed. This improves the issue
where some sites had seen jobs in a "Paused - Printing" status,
especially under Windows 2008 R2.
- Improved data checking in all import from text file functions.
- Improved client shutdown when Windows 7 shuts down.
Version 4.7 Build 46 Released 18-Jun-2010
- All user import methods (auto, manual and scheduled) now allow
automatic creation of UserID with 4 options.
- Fixed the print setup wizard that was overwriting Postscript setup
options.
- Improved page counting and color detection for Postscript from Mac
OSX 10.x.
- Fixed handling of HPGL2 where multiple color pens that were defined
but not used used caused a false color detection.
- Fixed the recognition of Mac and Unix user names.
- Fixed color detection for unusually formatted Mac Postscript jobs.
- Fixed color/B&W differentiation for PS3 Masked Images.
